Carpets, rugs, furniture and mattresses inside, plus cars and storefronts outside.
Greenwich Village and SoHo sit side by side, split by Houston Street, but the homes are very different. North of Houston you find brick rowhouses, small walk-up apartments over shops and pre-war co-ops with a doorman. South of Houston, many people live in former factory lofts with tall ceilings, wide wood floors and a freight elevator.
Those differences change how we plan your visit. A fourth-floor walk-up on a narrow Village street means carrying gear up the stairs. A SoHo loft means booking the freight elevator with the building. A townhouse may need the stair runner, the parlor rugs and the front stoop all done in one trip.
Every service below has its own page for this neighborhood. Our products are eco-safe and non-toxic, safe for kids and pets once dry. Green Choice has been cleaning homes since 2005, and most addresses here can get a same-day or next-day slot.
Bedroom carpet in co-ops, stair runners in townhouses and carpeted loft offices.
Large loft rugs and hallway runners taken to our plant and brought back.
Linen, velvet and wool chairs and benches cleaned in your home.
Loft sectionals and small walk-up couches cleaned where they sit.
Fresh mattresses for small bedrooms, sublets and move-out days.
Detailing in your garage space when the garage allows it, or at a legal curb spot.
Shop fronts, stoops, back gardens and roof terraces.
Careful hand-washing for antique and silk rugs from townhouse parlors.
Many buildings here have strict rules. Co-op boards set work hours, loft buildings ask you to reserve the freight elevator, and some townhouse owners share a front door with a tenant. When you book, tell us what your building asks for and we plan around it.
Space is tight in the older walk-ups. Hallways are narrow and stair turns are sharp. Our crews bring compact equipment, lay floor protection from the door to the room, and keep hoses neat so neighbors can still pass.
Lofts are the opposite problem. One open room can hold a sectional, a dining table for ten and a rug the size of a small apartment. We measure big pieces when we arrive and give you a clear time estimate before starting.
Before any cleaning, the crew walks the space with you, looks at stains and pet spots, and explains what they plan to do. You hear the plan and the time first, then we start.
The West 4th Street station near Washington Square Park is one of the busiest in the area, with the A, C, E, B, D, F and M trains. The 1 train stops at Christopher Street and Houston Street, and SoHo has stops at Spring Street and Prince Street. A lot of our customers here do not own a car at all.
Our crews do drive, and parking on these blocks is hard. The West Village street grid is crooked, many streets are one-way, and some SoHo streets still have old Belgian block paving. We leave extra time to find a legal spot, so your arrival window stays realistic.
Weekends in SoHo bring heavy shopping crowds on Broadway, Spring Street and Prince Street. If you live on a busy retail block, a weekday morning visit is usually the easiest for loading in and out of your building.
