Area Rug Cleaning in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn

Area rugs in Dyker Heights homes come in every size, from small runners in the front hall to large rugs under dining tables that seat the whole family. Many are on hardwood floors that owners have kept in good shape for years, and the rug protects that floor from chairs and shoes.

Because most houses here have a driveway or easy curb access, pickup is simple. We roll the rug, carry it to the van and take it to our facility. There it is dusted, washed, rinsed and dried properly before we bring it home and lay it back down.

We start by checking the rug's material and how it was made. Wool, cotton, synthetic and blended rugs are washed differently, and some dyes need extra care.

Dining room rugs take a beating at family meals. Sauce, wine and crumbs settle under the table, and chair legs grind them into the pile. Pre-treating those stains before the wash gives the best result.

Runners in the front hall and on the stairs carry grit from the driveway and sidewalk. That grit cuts fibers as people walk, so getting it out helps a rug last longer.

Rugs from basements sometimes have a damp smell. Washing and drying them fully at our facility, instead of on a basement floor, helps clear that odor.

Pet accidents get special attention. We treat urine spots and tell you honestly if a stain has gone too deep to fully remove.

Spring and fall are popular times for rug cleaning in Dyker Heights. Many families swap a heavy winter rug for a lighter one in summer, and that is a good moment to send both out.

Kids' playroom rugs in the basement see crayons, play dough and spilled snacks. They clean up well, and the eco-safe, non-toxic products we use are safe for children and pets.
