Sofa Cleaning in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn

In a lot of Dyker Heights houses, there is more than one sofa. The good one sits in the front living room and gets used when company comes. The everyday one, often a sectional or a sleeper, lives in the basement den, where the family watches TV, the kids play and relatives sleep over on holidays.

We clean sofas right where they are, so there is no need to carry anything up or down the basement stairs. The crew vacuums deep into the seams, pre-treats the dirtiest areas and cleans the fabric with a method matched to it.

Basement sofas often pick up odors over time, from snacks, pets, damp air or just heavy use. A thorough wash and good extraction remove much of what causes those smells.

Formal sofas used only a few times a year may look clean, but they still gather dust and body oils on the arms and back. A light cleaning keeps the fabric from yellowing or dulling.

Sleeper sofas need extra attention when guests use them often. We clean the seat cushions and the frame area, and we can also clean the thin mattress inside if you ask.

Kids and food mean spills. Juice, chocolate and crayon are common, and most come out better when treated soon.

A sofa usually dries in four to six hours. Basement rooms with little air flow may take a bit longer, so a fan helps.

Before the holidays, when the house fills up with relatives and neighbors stopping by to see the lights, a lot of families like to have the sofas cleaned. Book early in the season, since late-December slots go fast.

Big family dinners often end on the couch, with coffee and dessert in hand. Spills from those evenings are easier to lift if you blot them with a dry towel right away and call us within a few days.
