Upholstery Cleaning in DUMBO, Brooklyn

Loft living puts a lot of furniture on display. With no walls to hide behind, dining chairs, reading chairs, upholstered benches and bar stools are all part of one long view, and every mark on them shows. In DUMBO homes that double as studios or offices, the same chairs also see client meetings and long work days.

We clean upholstery in place. First we check the fabric tag and test a hidden spot, then we choose the method: a gentle hot water rinse for most fabrics, or a low-moisture clean for delicate ones that should not get wet.

Linen, cotton, wool blends, velvet and performance fabrics each react differently to water and heat. Testing first tells us whether colors will bleed or a fabric will shrink. If we see a risk, we tell you and adjust before we start.

Dining chairs pick up food and hand oils on the seat edge and the top of the back. We work those areas by hand with soft brushes and small tools, then rinse and blot.

Office chairs and studio stools are a common request in DUMBO. Fabric seats on task chairs trap dust and coffee spills, and cleaning them is a quick way to freshen a work space without buying new furniture.

Big windows bring in a lot of sun, and strong light can fade some fabrics. Cleaning does not reverse fading, but removing grime often makes the true color look brighter again.

Most pieces are dry in a few hours. A fan or an open window speeds things up, and we will tell you when it is fine to sit again.

If you rent out your loft for photo shoots or short stays, clean chairs and benches matter even more. We can schedule around your bookings.

Leather and faux-leather chairs get a cleaner made for them and a light conditioner, not water extraction.
