Area Rug Cleaning in Downtown & FiDi, Manhattan

In many Downtown apartments, an area rug is the only soft surface in a big room of wood or stone. It takes all the foot traffic, the dropped food and, in many homes, the dog.

We wash area rugs at our facility, where a rug can be soaked, rinsed and dried properly. That gets out the grit deep in the base, which a quick surface clean at home cannot reach.

Pickup is simple. We come to your door, roll the rug and carry it down the service elevator. If your building allows it, you can also leave the rolled rug with the front desk.

Flip a corner and look at the back. If you see sand-like grit, or dust falls out when you tap it, the rug needs a wash.

A rug in a high-floor unit with big windows may fade unevenly. A dull, flat path from the door to the sofa shows soil that a vacuum no longer lifts.

Pets change the timeline. A rug where a dog sleeps or a cat has had accidents needs a wash sooner, because odor sinks into the base and the pad.

Many Financial District towers ask that large items go through the loading dock and the service elevator. Tell us your building's hours, and we will book a pickup time inside them.

Open-plan conversions often hold rugs that are long and heavy; for those, a two-person team comes. Each rug is tested for fiber and dye before the wash, then fully washed, rinsed and dried flat. The fringe is cleaned and combed. Expect yours back within roughly seven days, set down on its pad.
