Couch and sectional cleaning for Borough Park homes with kids: crumbs vacuumed out, stains treated, everything done in your living room.
In a house full of children, the couch is a trampoline, a reading nook, a fort and a place for a quick snack. It is also where guests sit on Shabbat afternoon. That is a lot to ask of one piece of furniture.
We clean sofas and sectionals right in your living room. Our crew lifts out the cushions, cleans the frame and every cushion, and puts everything back the way it was.
Before Pesach, many families want the couch free of every crumb. Our cleaning starts with exactly that.
Families with many children often have a sectional big enough for everyone, and we clean each piece of it in turn, including the corner seat that everyone fights over.
The first step is a thorough crumb removal. Cushions come off, and we vacuum the deck, the seams, the crevices along the arms and under the frame where food collects. In a busy home, this alone makes a big difference.
Then every mark is looked at closely. Chocolate, juice, ketchup, marker and baby formula all need a different pre-treatment, and the right product saves the fabric from hard scrubbing.
Next, the full couch gets cleaned with very little water, so nothing soaks into the wooden frame or the cushion cores. White and cream sofas, which many families choose for the living room, get extra care on the arms and front edge.
Pull-out sofas, handy when family stays over for Yom Tov, can have their mattress done on the same visit. On recliners, a hand tool is used around the footrest so the mechanism stays dry.
Living rooms often double as the place where guests sleep over Shabbat or Yom Tov, so the couch needs to look and smell fresh on short notice. Tell us the date the guests arrive and we will schedule the cleaning a day or two before.
Expect to sit on it again by the afternoon; two to four hours is normal.
