Our team scrubs it gently by hand using a mild, plant-safe soap, rinses it many times and lets it dry slowly while lying flat. Heat and speed are never used, because both weaken wool.

Chair legs under a long table wear the pile in a line where people push back after the meal. Cleaning cannot replace worn wool, but rotating the rug after it comes back spreads the wear more evenly. We can turn it for you on delivery.

Dining room rugs often have wax drips, wine and grape juice stains and ground-in crumbs. We lift wax first, then treat each stain during the hand wash.

Before Pesach, pickup and return can be timed so the rug is back under the table before the Seder, as long as you book ahead. We also comb out the fringe and point out any moth trails or thin areas before work begins.
