Area Rug Cleaning in Westhampton Beach, NY

In a beach house, area rugs are the first thing wet feet touch. The rug by the slider, the one under the dining table, the cotton dhurrie in the kids' bunk room: they all trap sand and salt in their base.

Shaking them out on the deck only goes so far. A full soak and rinse at our facility removes what is buried deep.

Our crew rolls the rugs and carries them to the van. We note the room each one came from, which helps when a rental house has a dozen of them.

At the facility, each rug is dusted first. Salt and sand come out dry, before they can mix with water and sink deeper.

Full immersion follows. The rug is soaked, washed and rinsed so the foundation and backing come clean, not just the top.

Salt left in a rug draws moisture from humid air and can leave it feeling damp. Rinsing it out properly helps the rug stay fresh near the water.

Beach-house dogs get wet, sandy and happy, and the rugs show it. Pet stains and odors are treated during the wash.

Flat-woven cotton rugs and dhurries are common in cottages. They can shrink if handled carelessly, so we wash them with that in mind.

Fringe is rinsed and combed, and every rug is dried fully before it comes home. Pickup and delivery are free.

Outdoor rugs on decks and porches take sun, rain and sand. Many are polypropylene and clean well, so it is worth adding them to the pickup.

Seasonal owners often ask us to hold off on delivery until they open the house. Tell us your dates and we will plan the return.

A hand-knotted Persian is a job for our oriental rug team, and the sofa that sits on the rug can be done through sofa cleaning.
