Wainscott is a small hamlet with a lot of open space. Farm fields still line parts of Montauk Highway, Georgica Pond marks the eastern edge, and the lanes south of the highway run down toward the ocean. East Hampton Airport sits on the north side, so many owners fly or drive in for long weekends.

Wainscott homes are usually set back from the road behind hedges and gates. When you book, share the gate code or a contact who can let us in, and tell us if trucks should stay on the gravel or use a service entrance.

Montauk Highway backs up on summer Fridays and Sundays. We schedule Wainscott visits mid-week where we can and keep you posted if traffic slows us. For most of the year we can come the same day or the next; for the weeks around Memorial Day and July 4th, book early.
