Sofa cleaning for Wainscott living rooms and media rooms, with stain pre-treatment, pet hair removal and a fast-dry finish so it is usable the same day.
Big, deep sofas fill the living rooms and media rooms of many Wainscott homes, often in white linen or pale performance fabric. They look wonderful in June and tired by Labor Day.
We clean sofas in place, treat stains before the main clean and leave them ready to sit on later the same day.
White and cream sofas are popular in beach houses, and they show everything. We inspect them in good light, mark each stain and choose a pre-treatment for it before any general cleaning starts.
Common culprits are sunscreen and body oil on the arms and back cushions. These build up over a summer and turn fabric grey, but they lift well with the right product.
Slipcovered sofas are common too. Some slipcovers are best washed by the owner, others are better cleaned on the frame; we will tell you which approach suits yours.
Dogs that come in from the beach shed sand and hair into every seam. We pull out the hair first, vacuum the crevices and then deal with any odor.
Media rooms often have reclining sectionals. We protect the motors and cables and clean around the moving parts carefully.
Our fast-dry method means you can usually sit down again the same day, which matters when a rental changeover gives you a single free afternoon.
Some owners like to clean the sofa twice a year, once before the first guests in June and again in September. That keeps oils from setting deep into the fabric and makes each clean quicker and more effective.
Outdoor-style performance fabrics are a smart choice in a beach house, yet they still trap sand and oil. They usually respond very well to cleaning and dry fast.
