Area Rug Cleaning in Sunset Park, Brooklyn

Many Sunset Park living rooms have tile or wood floors with a big rug in the middle where the family sits, eats and plays. That rug collects crumbs, spills and the dust that blows in from the avenues and the truck routes near the water.

A rug cleaned on the floor only gets the top layer. We roll it up, take it down the stairs, and wash it at our plant, all the way through the pile and the back, where most of the dirt really is.

Pickup and delivery are free. When the rug comes back, we carry it inside, put it where you want it, and lay it flat.

We agree on a pickup time that fits your day. The crew vacuums the rug, rolls it, wraps it and carries it out. In row houses with narrow halls, we roll it tight so it does not scrape the walls on the way down.

At the plant we test the fiber and the colors first. Wool, cotton, jute and synthetic rugs each need their own wash. Then the rug is soaked and washed, rinsed well, and dried flat so the edges stay straight.

Rugs in a house with small kids often have milk or food spills that went deep. We treat those during the wash, not just on top, so the smell does not come back on the first warm day.

Many families here keep a rug by the front door or in the hallway that sees every pair of shoes coming in from the street. Those small rugs often look the worst, and they clean up well. Send them along with the big rug, so the whole house gets a fresh start at once.

If you have rugs on more than one floor of the house, we collect them all on one trip and bring them back together. We tell you the return date when we pick up.

Hand-knotted Persian or antique rugs go through a separate, slower hand wash. You can read about it on oriental rug cleaning in Sunset Park.
