Area Rug Cleaning in Pelham Bay, Bronx

Pelham Bay homes with wood floors usually have a big rug in the living room, a runner in the hall and smaller rugs in the bedrooms and by the back door. Those rugs see everything the family brings in, from park mud to beach sand from Orchard Beach.

A rug cleaned on the floor only gets the top. For a real result, it needs to go to our plant, where it can be dusted, washed all the way through and dried properly.

With a driveway or a quiet curb out front, pickup in Pelham Bay is usually quick. We roll the rugs, load them, and bring them back when they are done, all at no extra charge.

At collection, the driver jots down the measurements, the material and any trouble spots, and reads them back to you. Back at the plant, a color-bleed check comes first, followed by a beating and vacuuming that shakes loose the soil hiding near the knots.

Sand is a real issue for families who spend summer days at the beach. Fine sand works its way down to the base of a rug and acts like sandpaper on the fibers. Dusting removes it before washing, which helps the rug last.

Rugs by the back door and in the kitchen catch spills and garden dirt. Those spots are pre-treated before the full wash, so stains have the best chance of lifting.

A puppy that has not finished house training can leave several yellow patches. Urine wicks straight through to the floorboards, so those areas are flooded with a bacteria-based odor remover in the wash, and you get a straight answer about any discoloration that will remain.

Once the rug is washed and rinsed, it is dried flat and checked again before it comes home. The wall-to-wall in another room can be cleaned the same day; see Pelham Bay carpet cleaning.
