Deep mattress cleaning for Pelham Bay families, from bunk beds to the basement guest room.
Count the beds in a typical Pelham Bay house and the number is often higher than the number of people. There is the main bedroom, a set of bunk beds or twin beds for the kids, a pull-out in the den and a spare mattress downstairs for cousins who stay over.
Every one of those mattresses soaks up body moisture and sheds skin, and over a few years the inside becomes a home for dust mites. Children's beds also take spilled juice, nosebleeds and the occasional wet night.
Our process uses only a small amount of moisture, so the bed dries quickly and you can make it up again by evening in most cases.
The technician first works out the build of the mattress. Pocket springs, solid foam and hybrid designs each tolerate moisture differently, and the treatment is adjusted to fit.
Next comes a slow extraction vacuum over the top and sides, lifting hair, lint and dead skin. Individual stains are worked one by one, and then a mite and allergen spray covers the entire sleeping area.
Accidents on children's mattresses happen in almost every family. An enzyme product breaks the odor down at the source, and fresh marks often lift completely.
A spare mattress in a below-grade room can pick up a stale, basement smell. Cleaning removes much of it, and a dehumidifier in that room keeps it from returning.
Booking all the beds together means one setup and one morning at home for you, with a single price for the whole house.
Grandparents who live with the family and spend more time resting will notice a fresher bed most of all. The treatment is gentle on sensitive skin once dry.
Mattresses that are flipped or rotated every few months wear more evenly. When we finish, we can turn yours for you, which is easier with two people than one.
If anyone in the house has allergies, the bedroom floor matters as much as the bed. See carpet cleaning in Pelham Bay.
