Area Rug Cleaning in North Sea, NY

At the plant, step one is getting the dry soil out. The rug is beaten and vacuumed face-down so needles, sand and grit fall from deep in the pile.

Step two is the bath. Once the colors pass, the rug soaks in a tub with a cleaner suited to wool, cotton, polyester or a blend, and rinse until no suds remain.

Muddy paw prints and pet accidents are common in homes near the woods. They are treated before the bath. Recent spots usually clear. Older ones can leave a faint shadow.

Rugs hang to dry indoors, out of the damp outside air, and are checked by hand to make sure the base is dry before they come home.

A good rug pad under each rug keeps it from sliding on the hardwood and lets air move under it, which helps in damp, shaded homes.
