Area Rug Cleaning in Huntington, NY

Huntington living rooms and dining rooms usually have wood floors, so area rugs do a lot of work here. A large rug under the dining table catches crumbs and spills from family dinners, and a rug by the back door takes the dirt from the yard and the deck.

Rugs clean best when they are washed all the way through, not just on top. That is why we take them to our facility, soak and rinse them fully, dry them on racks and bring them back clean.

Pickup and delivery are free. The crew rolls the rug, carries it out, and brings it back on the day we agree. You do not need to move the dining table yourself.

At pickup we look at the rug with you. We note stains, pet spots, worn edges and loose fringe, so you know what to expect when it comes back.

At the facility we test the dyes first, so we know the colors will not run. Then the rug is dusted to remove the deep grit, washed in a full bath, rinsed and dried flat or on racks. Synthetic, wool and blended rugs each get the right soap and water temperature.

Families with dogs often ask about urine spots. We treat those areas before the main wash. Fresh spots usually come out well. Older spots that have sat for months may leave a light mark, and we tell you that at pickup.

Jute and sisal rugs are popular in Huntington sunrooms and porches. These natural fibers can brown if they get too wet, so we clean them with a low-moisture method instead of a full soak.

If the rug is a hand-knotted Persian or an older piece from a family member, it should get hand-washing. Our Oriental rug cleaning in Huntington page explains that process.
