We pick the rug up from your apartment, test the dyes and check the fiber, then hand-wash it at our facility. It dries slowly and evenly, and the fringe is cleaned and groomed before we bring it back.

Wool and silk rugs can bleed color if they are washed the wrong way. That is why every rug gets a dye test first. If a color is not stable, we change the method to protect it.

Old rugs in long-held apartments sometimes have moth damage hiding under furniture, where light never reaches. We look for it during the inspection and treat the rug for moths and insects as part of the cleaning.

Fringe often takes the most wear, especially in a narrow hallway where it gets caught by the vacuum or by feet. We clean it carefully and let you know if any part needs repair beyond cleaning.

Walk-up access is normal for us here. The crew rolls and wraps the rug and carries it down the stairs, so you do not have to lift anything.

Between cleanings, turn the rug every so often so sun and foot traffic do not wear one side more than the other. A rug pad underneath also helps it last on old wood floors.
