Area Rug Cleaning in Flatbush, Brooklyn

Area rugs are everywhere in Flatbush homes. They warm up old wood floors in pre-war apartments, soften the noise for downstairs neighbors and give kids a soft place to play. In houses they sit in front halls, dining rooms and bedrooms, and they get walked on all day.

We take your rugs out for cleaning. The crew rolls and carries them to the van, then at our facility each rug is shaken out, washed, rinsed and dried. When it is ready, we bring it back to your door and set it in place.

A rug can look clean and still hold a lot of dirt deep inside. The first step at our facility is removing that dry soil, which is the main thing that wears rugs out.

Each rug is checked before washing: fiber, backing, dyes and any damage. Wool, cotton, synthetics and blends all get the method that suits them.

Kitchen and dining rugs in busy family homes collect food stains and grease. We pre-treat those spots before the full wash.

In apartment buildings, we carry rugs out through the lobby and use the elevator when there is one. If you live on an upper floor of a walk-up, we handle the stairs.

Pet stains and odors get extra steps. If a stain has gone through to the backing, we will tell you what is realistic before washing.

Before the holidays or a family celebration, many Flatbush households send their rugs out so the living room is ready for guests. Book a week or two ahead so the rug is back in time.

Rugs from large pre-war apartments are often long hall runners. We roll them carefully so they do not crease.
