Sanitizing mattress cleaning in Tarrytown homes and apartments, aimed at dust mites, stains and the damp smell river air can leave in bedding.
Bedrooms in old Tarrytown houses are often under the roof, with sloped ceilings and small windows. In humid summers they can feel stuffy, and the mattress soaks up moisture night after night.
In apartments near the water, guest rooms and second bedrooms are sometimes shut for weeks, which can leave the bed smelling stale.
Our low-moisture sanitizing clean freshens the mattress without leaving it wet.
Dust mites like warm, humid places, and a mattress near the river can be a perfect home for them. We use a filtered vacuum to pull mites, dust and skin flakes out of the surface before we treat the fabric.
Next comes spot treatment. Sweat stains, coffee, pet accidents and children's spills each need a different approach, and we treat them one by one.
We then sanitize the surface with very little moisture, so the foam or springs inside stay dry. Most mattresses are ready for sheets the same day.
Small attic bedrooms with sloped ceilings can be hard to reach with big equipment. Our tools are portable, so we can work in tight spaces under the eaves.
We check what your mattress is made of first. Memory foam, latex, hybrid and innerspring mattresses each react differently to heat and moisture.
Renters moving into an older apartment sometimes find a mattress already in the unit. A sanitizing clean before you sleep on it gives you a fresh start.
Older homes can have radiators right next to the bed. Dry heat in winter and damp air in summer both affect a mattress, and a regular clean helps it stay fresh through the seasons.
Some customers keep a guest bed in a finished attic or a converted porch. Those rooms swing in temperature, and the mattress there benefits from an occasional sanitizing clean.
Kids' beds and bunk beds are welcome too, along with the guest bed that has not been used since last year.
If allergies are a problem in your home, a clean mattress plus a zippered cover helps keep dust mites down for longer.
Open a window on a dry day or run a fan after we finish to clear the last bit of moisture.
