Mobile car detailing at East Quogue homes, for family cars streaked with sap and pollen and full of pine needles and pet hair.
Park under a pine in East Quogue for a week and you will know the problem. Sticky sap freckles the hood, a film of yellow pollen settles on the windshield and needles pile up in the slot below the wipers. Open the doors and it is dog hair, muddy floor mats and some leftover sand from a summer afternoon at the ocean.
Our detailer drives to you and does the whole job on your property, so you can stay home while the car gets cleaned.
Inside work begins with suction everywhere a crumb can hide: seats, carpet, mats and the cargo area. Brushes and compressed air drive grit out of seat seams and out from beneath the sliding tracks. Pet fur weaves itself into fabric, so it gets as much time as it needs.
Hard surfaces come next. The dash, air vents, center console and door panels are cleaned and dressed, and the glass is polished on both sides. Cloth seats and carpet can be shampooed to lift spilled coffee and that lingering wet-dog smell.
Outside, we never scrub sap or bird droppings, since rubbing them drags grit across the clear coat. They are softened first and lifted away. Then comes the hand wash, plus separate brushes for wheels and tires.
Look under the hood at the base of the windshield and you will find the cowl, where rainwater drains. Pine needles and leaves love to clog it. We clear out what we can reach so water keeps flowing away.
For longer-lasting shine, a ceramic coating is on offer, and an engine bay clean can be added. We explain honestly what each one does so you can choose.
All we need is room beside the car to open every door wide. Gravel and long driveways work fine; if your house sits down a narrow private lane, let us know when booking.
Weekend drivers who come out from the city on Friday often want the car cleaned before the drive back. We can schedule a Saturday or Sunday slot when one is open, so the car is fresh for the trip home.
If you keep a second car out east that sits most of the week, it can collect pollen, sap and dust quickly. A regular detail keeps the finish from suffering.
Convertibles and SUVs with fabric roofs or seats under trees need extra care with sap and bird droppings. We treat them gently so the material is not damaged.
