Area Rug Cleaning in Midtown, Manhattan

Most Midtown towers do not let you carry a big rolled rug through the front lobby at rush hour, and few people want to try. With our pickup service, the crew comes up, rolls and wraps the rug, and takes it out the way your building prefers.

Back at our facility, the rug is dusted to shake out grit, washed in a full bath and rinsed clean. It dries in a controlled space so the backing does not stay wet. Then we deliver it and lay it back in place.

Before washing, every rug gets a fiber check and a dye test.

Rugs near the front door in a busy Midtown apartment take a beating. Winter salt and slush, delivery boxes, guests and a work week of shoes all end up there. If the colors look flat or the rug feels stiff, it is holding dirt deep down.

A faint musty smell after a rainy week is another sign. That smell usually means moisture and salt are stuck at the base of the pile, and a full bath is the best way to reach them.

We plan pickup with your building in mind. Some ask us to use the loading area, others want a heads-up to the front desk the day before. Tell us what is needed and we handle it.

Midtown streets are tight, so pickup times can shift with traffic. We confirm the time with you and keep you posted if anything changes.

Many people here have modern wool or blended rugs that look simple but need a gentle wash to keep their color. If you have a hand-knotted piece, we will point you to our oriental rug service instead.

When the rug comes back, we lay it in place and set the furniture on it, so your room is ready right away.

We can also clean wall-to-wall carpet in Midtown or your sofa during the pickup visit. Our Midtown page lists every service, and we pick up rugs in Murray Hill as well. Call 1-800-589-4364.
