Eight services for brownstone floors, family sofas, stoops and the car parked down the block.
Park Slope is mostly a neighborhood of old houses. Many blocks between Flatbush Avenue and Prospect Park West are lined with brownstones and limestone row houses from the late 1800s, a lot of them split into a garden apartment, a parlor floor and one or two floors above. Closer to 4th Avenue you also find newer apartment buildings with elevators.
That mix shapes how we work. In a row house we carry equipment up the stoop and the inside stairs by hand, protect the old banisters and moldings, and keep hoses neat on narrow landings. In an elevator building we follow the building's booking rules.
Green Choice has been cleaning New York homes since 2005. Our products are eco-safe and non-toxic, which matters in a neighborhood with so many strollers, toddlers and dogs. Call 1-800-589-4364 for a free quote; your first cleaning is 10% off.

The neighborhood is known for young families, and our work here shows it. The most common calls we get are for spilled milk on the living room rug, a potty-training accident on the stair runner, muddy paw prints after a morning in the park, and a sofa that has become the family snack table.
For those jobs we focus on removing the stain and the smell, not just making the surface look better for a week. Pet urine, for example, needs an enzyme treatment that reaches the backing, not only the top fibers.
Old houses bring their own needs. Many Park Slope homes still have original wood floors, so we lay down protection under our equipment and keep water off the boards. Narrow halls and tight turns on the stairs mean we plan where hoses go before we start.
Plenty of households here also have a fine old rug passed down in the family, sitting next to a washable kids' rug from a big store. We look at each one and clean it the way that suits it.
Our crews cover the whole slope, from the North Slope near Flatbush Avenue to the South Slope blocks toward Green-Wood Cemetery, and from 4th Avenue up to Prospect Park West. The 5th Avenue and 7th Avenue shopping strips run through the middle, with the F and G stopping at 7th Avenue and the R running under 4th Avenue.
Parking is the hard part. Street spots are scarce and alternate-side rules move cars around, so tell us if there is a driveway, a curb cut or a time when parking is easier on your block. We also work in Prospect Heights just across Flatbush Avenue.
