Upholstery cleaning in Bushwick for armchairs, futons, dining chairs and secondhand seating, done in your apartment.
Furniture in Bushwick often has a past life. That armchair came from a street sale, the dining chairs from a friend who moved upstate, the futon from the last roommate. They may look fine, but fabric remembers everything that has happened to it.
Cleaning secondhand upholstery is one of the simplest ways to make a new apartment feel like yours. It also helps when the cat has made one chair its own.
We clean upholstery right in your home with a low-moisture method and eco-safe, non-toxic products.
We start with the fabric. If there is a care tag, its code tells us whether water is safe. Many secondhand pieces have no tag, so we test a hidden spot to see how the fabric reacts.
Thrift and street-sale furniture gets a careful vacuum first, including seams and the gaps under cushions. That is where old crumbs, dust and pet hair hide.
Stains are pre-treated one by one: coffee, beer, food, sweat on headrests and the dark patches where people rest their arms.
Odors from smoke or pets are treated at the source with deodorizers made for fabric, instead of covering them up with scent.
The main clean uses low moisture and strong extraction, so the fabric dries fast and the padding inside does not stay damp.
Futons are a Bushwick classic. We can clean the mattress pad and the frame cover in place, and we tell you if the futon pad is too worn to be worth it.
For anyone with allergies, removing years of dust and dander from padded furniture can make the apartment feel much better.
Dining chairs from a market stall or an old diner booth bench are fun finds. Vinyl and faux leather clean differently from fabric, and we bring products for both.
Studio apartments mean the reading chair is also the work chair and sometimes the guest bed. Those pieces get extra attention on the arms and seat.
Your couch is covered by our sofa cleaning in Bushwick, and the bed by mattress cleaning, if you want them done the same day.
